The 3 forms of respect

Image
It has been almost 21 years since I have came on this earth. And with what I have observed in my day to day life with growing age I have put down certain things I have noted about people. It’s Respect.. and certainly respect doesn’t mean always good.. It has it’s own forms. Respect by fear: And you wouldn’t wait to guess who would it be … a parallel word to it- Hitlerism . If we look down our history many crowned headed people have been compelling others with their own opinion and in exchange they demanded respect ( or forced respect) . Those who didn’t had a pay a price which included penalty in the form of sentence. Other’s feared and kept mum. This type of respect doesn’t last long. Unrest soon develops among the subjects and the dictator is soon overthrown. In colleges, Lecturers demanding respect in exchange of internal marks is the same kind of RESPECT BY FEAR. The students just wait to pass out

To be or not to be

“Oh my God!!” Was the silent fumble from my mouth with my facial expressions hidden underneath as I looked across the screen of my laptop .I was half way through the movie “Schindler’s List ” . One of the most vicious dictatorships carried out by Nazis upon the Jews, I felt a moment of insecurity around me for an instance when the Nazi soldiers were ordered to forcefully vacant the homes of glorified Jews and throw them on streets. They executed them with a bullet in their head, raped women and hurt children at their own will and entertainment. It was a life made hell for them. They were snatched of all riches and were thrown to live into the abandoned room also dwelt by dozens of other Jews at one place. They were enforced slavery and all that they had to do was perspire blood all the day in factory and if they didn’t as per their expectations they were assassinated. The brightest of the bright talented Jews had lost their life ambi

Why did Anna Hazare made the right move at last!

Well, Its time to congratulate you and me and everyone. Anna Hazare and his co. broke their long awaiting fast which was expected to churn out the government’s actions to resolve corruption issue and behead the guilty from holding the powerful political seats. But it was just as ineffective as hitting your forehead on a rock and expecting it to kiss you. The government was as blank and muted just as Mr. Manmohanji. It decided to maintain a no-reply state where it seemed that Anna hazare’s movement is nothing but some event happening in the corner of the world.. Media had turned away their faces as opposite to the last time (under pre ssure or not I don’t know) from the movement which would have benefited them in the end but they still chose to. When Pune bomb blasts took place it wasn’t an activity of some terrorist organization I feel because these terrorists would claim their hands or leave a message which has always happened in the past and with no people being hurt that inv

College for oppurtunities or fun?

“What was the best phase of your life?” Ask this question to any elder fellow on this earth and it would rarely happen if he doesn’t mention his college days. This is the age when everything in life balances out. You seem to be living at the juncture of both skylarking days of movie, music, friends and parties and the other part where you juggle with your study responsibilities and deadlines .And if there was anyone if he didn’t balance both properly, he wouldn’t be immune to problems and regrets in l ater life. Everyone in the group sitting silently on their ch airs in canteen and someone fireworks a joke। The group bursts into the laugh with almost each one of them hurling their hilarious comments. The moment becomes real tough when the canteen food bill turns out to be indivisible wholly a mong the odd number of friends. There is at least one person in every college who plays a musical instrument. And listening t
