The 3 forms of respect

It has been almost 21 years since I have came on this earth. And with what I have observed in my day to day life with growing age I have put down certain things I have noted about people. It’s Respect.. and certainly respect doesn’t mean always good.. It has it’s own forms.

Respect by fear:

And you wouldn’t wait to guess who would it be … a parallel word to it- Hitlerism . If we look down our history many crowned headed people have been compelling others with their own opinion and in exchange they demanded respect ( or forced respect) . Those who didn’t had a pay a price which included penalty in the form of sentence. Other’s feared and kept mum. This type of respect doesn’t last long.

Unrest soon develops among the subjects and the dictator is soon overthrown. In colleges, Lecturers demanding respect in exchange of internal marks is the same kind of RESPECT BY FEAR. The students just wait to pass out and relieve all the curses towards these kind of lecturers they had kept choked all these years. This is the cheapest form of respect.

Respect for profit and power:

Any idea why some people are just interested in making more and more friends.. Well the idea is just profit. People look upon powered politicians and famed personalities just so that they would be benefited in some way in their near life...These people seem to be looking very much social. But, they have only one aim – BENEFIT and they are all alone in life.

They feel protected by powerful friends and help in times of need and that’s why their confidence doesn’t go down… That doesn’t mean they are awesome. It just means that they are dependent. However, not as respect by fear it is just harmless.

Respect by love:

It’s the same respect we have for our parents… All selfless and by love. This is the greatest from of respect and anyone striving for getting respect should attain this kind of respect and not like the above ones because respect by love makes you immortal. Emperor Shivaji and Mahatma Gandhiji are some of the eminent personalities.

The world bows for you and runs behind to absorb your aura of love around you. They start loving you and everything comes in automatically . People who achieve this respect become immortal and find a place in heart of every individual..World will start moving towards perfection only if people start observing this kind of respect in their life.

The opposites

I had a friend whom I seem to meet almost regularly during travel to college. I would alight Karjat and he would travel to Lonavla. With this same thing happening over almost a year, we had grown into close friends. At first we used to talk about the weather and how most of the pune crowd is egoistic during travel, who wouldn’t lend their seat to us despite their spine aching from rubbing their butt against the seats. Travel-ling into the future is always a dream of every human being. What’s there in store for me in future? is a question. Well, I have been thinking about it throughout. If tomorrow was your birthday and you can’t wait for the sluggish hours in between you just have to do as I say. And in a blink you will be into the future. This method will apply only in short bursts and remember you can’t return back even if you wish to.
