Konkan : cloud 10

This isn’t more of a  travelogue..just a feeling I would like to share it with you…

After a long hectic month of academics … Nothing could be more joyful than going back to the roots…

As ganpati festival ushers in with the end of the rainy season … the greenery and the moments in the konkan region would promisingly amaze you each time you visit…
I travelled from city to the konkan area…with the concrete buildings slowly moving into the tall hood of leaves  … eye-pleasing light green color….
Air no longer hurts your lungs..infact lungs crave for more of a deep breath of pure oxygen it misses in the city…
The moments of travel even don’t bore you..The wheels running on the ‘ NH-17 ’ highway through the kashedi ghat- chiplun – and the rest of konkan uncovers a delightful joy…

All you want to do is relax.. relax.. in fact you don’t have to..the body relaxes itself…

Five days of ganesh festival… playing cards …animal watching.. wild boar, deers, bisons , simple tasty food ( especially Bhakari , jhunka , chatni and the most awaited after ganpati – kombadi wade.sssss…) . .. open cricket and football.. no more barrier ..you can play all the day ..long boundaries ..no stop ..the clean beaches..

You never know when the festival ends… and you are really unhappy now to go back…
Still, the busy life calls you back…

With heavy legs and mind you come back to the jungle of struggling people …
You get down from the vehicle coughing and gulping the saliva as the dust infiltrates your breath… cleaning down the sticky sweat from your brow.
A cloud of nostalgia hovers over your head again…  and a tear drops as you no longer feel the cold grasslands beneath your feet…
Those who have visited konkan are lucky..
And those who have their village as  konkan are the luckiest…
Hehe…
