Education system a scam?

Once upon a time there was a foreigner who was touring Mumbai. At the signal, a slum boy approached him selling his product. As usual, already irritated by so many, he was going to ignore him. But, he was totally stunned, when the slum boy spoke in many languages including English and German. He couldn't help but lower his windscreen and observe his marketing skills with awe, far better than even the cooperate marketers he had seen. He was captivated by his professional body language which even the personality development seminars hardly teach.

That brings me to the question whether education system is just a scam? Do they destroy the very basic form of learning?

It’s easy to raise doubts, a bit difficult to answer and very very hard to act on the solution. For now let’s try the second option.

I don’t need to expand on this I feel. There are many eminent personalities who have made it to the brightest mind in the world category without schooling. But, if schooling was a waste of time they surely wouldn’t have put their children through school. Even today as we graduate we don’t remember much about what we learnt a couple of years ago. Even if we remember I am still unable to understand the applications of imaginary mathematics in whole of my life.

May be my ignorance, that I didn't realized its usefulness. But, what we need is a more practical knowledge where learning theory and application doesn’t differ at all.

Education system may not be a scam. Beliefs may be. From long years children are pressurized to pursue a course which has ‘scope’ . I never understood this!

And when these kind of children don’t get into such system they don’t fall prey to the template society has created. Instead they become someone great. But does it mean when such combination prevail they turn super brilliant?

No, because they have certain principles and freedom to follow their own path even without education. If such values are fed into the minds of children from the start may be we can utilize their maximum potential.

Education system is not a scam but, it is incomplete. Mere education won’t do any good. But, when these values will be inculcated so shall these children rise to become the brightest minds. That they will benefit the society and in turn will inculcate the same among their children.
